Cinsault is primarily known for its use in red wine production, and a rare find when produced as a rosé or white wine. We are excited to release our very first vintage of "White Cinsault"! The grape originates from the Languedoc region of France and has a long history, possibly dating back to ancient times.
Cinsault is valued for its ability to thrive in warm, dry climates, making it well-suited to regions like the Mediterranean... and Lodi, California! It typically produces wines with soft tannins, bright acidity, and flavors of red berries and floral notes. This varietal is often used as a blending grape to add elegance and freshness to wines, particularly in the southern Rhône Valley and Languedoc regions, but it's increasingly gaining attention as a standalone varietal wine in its own right.
