Best in Class for INTERCOASTAL at the Los Angeles International Wine Competition!

We are overjoyed to share some fantastic news with you!  INTERCOASTAL Vineyards has brought home four prestigous awards from the 2024 Los Angeles International Wine Competition!

We are proud to announce that our dedication to crafting exceptional wines has been recognized by the world's finest judges! Amongst thousands of entries from wineries across the world, INTERCOASTAL Vineyards took home the gold once again!

GOLD medals have been awarded for both our 2019 Estate Grown Petite Sirah and our 2022 Estate Grown Unoaked Chardonnay!  The Unoaked Chardonnay was an exceptional standout, earning 97 points AND BEST IN CLASS!

Winning Best in Class is an incredible achievement, and we are so proud that our 2022 Unoaked Chardonnay stood out amongst the best of the best! This award is a wonderful validation of our commitment to excellence and our passion for producing outstanding wines.

The 2019 Petite Sirah and 2022 Unoaked Chardonnay are definitely standouts in our collection of wines, as well as in the tasting room! These two wines have always been fan favorites among our wine club members and winery visitors. Gold medal recognition for these wines provides a testament to the hard work of our winemaking team and the extraordinary quality of the grapes we source from our carefully tended vineyards.

BEST IN CLASS & GOLD - 2022 Unoaked Chardonnay

The 2022 Unoaked Chardonnay is fresh and vibrant emphasizing the purity of the grape, unburdened by the influence of oak aging.  Light and delicate pastel in color, the wine opens with hints of honeysuckle and orange blossom.  Perfectly balanced, beautiful fruit flavors linger on the palate with a finish that is nothing short of exquisite.  If you are not a typical "fan" of Chardonnay... this one is for you!

GOLD - 2019 Petite Sirah

The 2019 Limited Release Petite Sirah fills the glass with a deep, dark, rich velvet color and delicious flavors of plum and blueberry conserve.   Made from single vineyard, estate grown, premium fruit hand picked at the perfect ripeness, this full bodied, non-manipulated wine has a firm backbone of tannins and a lingering finish.  Precisely dry and perfectly balanced, we have affectionatly named this shining star our "blackberry bomb"!

SILVER - 2020 Merlot

Our 2020 Merlot has been awarded the SILVER medal!

Simply. Stunning!  The fruit is Estate Grown in the Clarksburg AVA, where the river bends around our vineyard and the soil is rich with beautiful minerality.  The warm summer days and cool evening breeze provide the perfect growing conditions for this spectacular fruit. It's no surprise that this wine captured the attention of the judges and the Silver Medal is a wondeful recognition of its exceptional quality and the care we put into every vineyard and bottle.

Barrel aged for 26 Months in neutral french oak, the opulent flavors of this full bodied wine are simply divine. A gorgeous ruby red glistens in the glass and ripe plum greets the nose with enticing flavors!  Marionberry and plum, cigar humidor with lingering notes of tobacco and a silky smooth finish.

Thank you for your support!

We are so grateful to all of you! Whether you have joined our wine club, visited the winery, shared your love of our wines with friends, or simply followed our journey, your support has been invaluable.  We look forward to sharing these award-winning wines with you and continuing to craft exceptional wines for years to come.
